Safety Team - Church Reopening

Safety Team - Church Reopening

Dear Friends in Christ,

At our June 3rd Council Meeting, Council passed a motion to delay worshipping in person until Union County was designated “green’’ by Governor Wolf. In preparation, and at the recommendation of our Synod, we’ve established a Safety Team to make your return to church as safe as possible. Worship will resume on June 28th at 10:30am. Below are the procedures we will follow as we return to worship;

  •  Seating will begin in the front pews. You will be ushered to a seat. Families will be permitted to worship together.
  •  Dismissal will be from the back to the front.
  •  For the time being communion will not be offered.
  •  Offering baskets will be in the back of the church.
  •  Necessary sanitizing products will be available for your use.
  •  Bathrooms will be open with marked procedures for sanitizing following use. Children must be accompanied by a parent.
  •  Masks are strongly recommended, but not required.
  •  Social distancing will be practiced inside the church building. Greet your fellow parishioners outside before and after the service.
  •  There will be no singing during the service.
  •  The service will be approximately 30 minutes long.
  •  Children’s toy baskets will no longer be available. There will be no Children’s Church at this time.
  •  We encourage everyone to enter through the Market Street door. The alley door will also be opened.

We realize that some of you may not feel comfortable returning to church quite yet, so for that reason Pastor John will continue to provide a weekly service online. We are asking for  everyone’s cooperation and patience as we try to move forward. We also ask that you be safe and keep in mind that your well-being and the well-being of others is our top priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any member of the Safety Team.

Blessings,
The Safety Team
